Starting out as an apprentice Porsche mechanic, I became a service writer and then service manager. I’ve worked at five different German car repair shops in my 40 year career, learning something from each shop.

I eventually got a degree in speech communication, where I studied nonverbal communication, persuasion, influence, and negotiation, which helps tremendously with the customer interaction.

With that comes a unique understanding of the customer and their relationship to the shop, where I canprovide the customer a list of things that need attention on their car and help them decide what to do now and what can wait.

I recently developed the Rebel Service Advisor program where I help service advisors and owners get approvals for the additional work from the DVI (Digital Vehicle Inspection) in a fun easy way.
