I know you spent hours writing your speech. But your audience isn’t reading it, they are hearing it and seeing it. And they are sizing you up: “Is this person real? Does this speaker care if I “get it” or is this a data dump and I’m on my own?” Or do you care more about how smooth and “professional” you look up in front of the group.
Believe in your material and your expertise and let it show. Audiences want real, they want more ….. of something…. and if you know you’re audience, you’ll know what that is.
